Most of the banners pictured are painted on an acid free, brown cotton mesh fabric. A white gesso primecoat is applied with a wide brush leaving random swatch marks throughout. Pastel chalk is used for the layout and remnants of these lines are left like ghosts in the final product.

The imagery and lettering are painted with a mix of acrylic and casein paint. A final wash of clear acrylic medium (lightly tinted with yellow ochre) is applied at the end which gives them an aged look. They measure apx. 38" x 7'. How they are displayed is up to you. I hang them simply with push pins, velcro, or binder clips on dowel sticks and leave the edges free and exposed.

They are intended for interior display.

Traditional, exterior canvas banners or custom sizes are available on request.

The client simply gives me some information about what the theme of the banner is, or what their interests are and I take it from there. A very rough preliminary sketch can be requested though I prefer a free reign and do my best work that way.

The way these digital images represent colors and washes never do the banners justice.
