Flying Fingers is an entirely made up guy. His image is referenced from a Chicago talent agent's portfolio of acts from the 1940s that had been taken apart and sold piece by piece on E-Bay a number of years ago. Flying Fingers (and his Flaming Banjo) now lives in a lovely home in the Boston Area.
Though the guy himself isn't in it, elements of this banner appear in the Springsteen tour book.
